Snug Harbor in Kearny, NJ

I traveled to a local bar in Kearny to visit one of the best bartenders in Hudson County and enjoy some delicious craft beer. Neither let me down. Snug Harbor is an interesting place- a dive bar with a great beer selection. I started off the night with one of my favorite beers, Firestone Double Jack, and like always it was amazing. The IPA trend continued with Kane Head High IPA before moving to some beers that wouldn't leave me stumbling out hammered- Guinness and Saranac Blueberry Blonde. The Guinness poured by one of Kearny's finest, Erin Murphy, was a bit on the colder side, but delicious nonetheless. The Saranac Blueberry wasn't bad either, having a not too overwhelming blueberry taste and refreshingly crisp finish. Not something I'd drink a lot of, but a nice change up from the heavy beers I started with.

Overall, it was a great visit to the Snug Harbor. The only place I have ever been that has 10 craft beers on tap and only charges $4.50 for each. Makes for a great evening of mixing beers and a terrible morning of pounding headaches.
